Focus on De-escalation of Conflict

LIWA Aquatics, together with our Principal Professional Development Sponsor, Pool Robotics Perth, and partners Royal Life Saving WA and the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River, invites all aquatic recreation and shire staff from South West Region to the Aquatic Recreation Seminar in Margaret River, 15th October 2025. The highlight of the program is a practical De-escalation of Conflict and Aggression Workshop, delivered by Dr Christian Mauri, aimed at equipping lifeguards, aquatic technical operators, and recreation staff with the tools to manage volatile situations and improve safety in their facilities.

Alongside the workshop, the seminars will also feature sessions on chlorine handling and checklists, effective supervision planning, benchmarking, and a technical tour of the facility. With opportunities for networking and peer learning, these events provide valuable professional development.
