The Leisure Institute of Western Australia (Aquatics) Inc is the peak body that has been providing support, professional development and networking opportunities to the aquatic and recreation industry of Western Australia since 1969.

To simplify membership management and align with financial reporting periods, LIWA will be transitioning all memberships to a financial year renewal cycle, with membership renewal dates standardised to July 1st each year

After a long career in planning, sport, recreation and community consulting, Dave Lanfear has retired from Otium, leaving a valuable legacy across Western Australia’s aquatic, recreation and community infrastructure sector. Dave’s practical knowledge, long industry history and contribution to projects that have strengthened facilities and services for communities have been widely valued by clients and colleagues.

Dianne Jupp began her aquatic career more than 20 years ago after taking her children to Wundowie Pool and being offered the opportunity to manage the facility. She has since worked across Northam’s aquatic and recreation facilities and was appointed Manager of Recreation Services in March. Dianne is passionate about sharing her experience, mentoring young staff and supporting the next generation of industry professionals.
