Aquatic & Recreation Facility Managers Course (ARFMC)
A new, industry-led program developed by LIWA and Royal Life Saving WA (RLSWA), proudly sponsored by Jonas Leisure and supported by the WA State Government. The course has been designed by aquatic and recreation professionals for aquatic and recreation professionals.
Participants will learn directly from some of Western Australia’s leading Facility Managers, gaining practical insights, real-world skills, and hands-on operational experience.
Cost:$2,000 (members); $2,500 (non-members) Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea included.
Dinner Monday night included and breakfast Friday morning.
Accommodation: If travelling to Perth, we recommend Residence on Langley Park, 99 Adelaide Terrace, Perth CBD, 6000 Perth, Australia. While we provide a recommendation there are a number of hotels and apartments in this area of differing price points. Staying in this area (Perth CBD) is not required if you are using your own transport to and from the venues.
Transport - Transportation will be organised from the from Residence on Langley each day for those requiring transport to/from the venues and activities. We will send further communications closer to the date on daily pick-up times. Please indicate your transport requirements and dietary needs in the Delegate Details Form at the end of this document.
About the Course
The ARFMC is delivered over five consecutive days across a variety of Aquatic & Recreation Facilities in Perth. Participants will complete 11 practical modules, supported by technical tours, hands-on activities, guest presentations, case studies, learning guides, networking, guest presentations and practical resources for immediate workplace application.
This new course offers a high-quality, affordable, and relevant non-formal learning pathway that complements or extends beyond traditional tertiary options. It strengthens career pathways, supports workforce capability, and helps retain skilled staff — particularly addressing shortages of regional Facility Managers.
