Community Infrastructure Planning Course: EOI

Proudly supported by the WA Government, LIWA, in partnership with Royal Life Saving WA, is launching the Community Infrastructure Planning Course (CIPC) in 2026. This five-day, industry-led program builds practical planning skills within the WA context and is designed for current and aspiring Community Infrastructure Planners across the state. Limited to 25 participants, EOIs are now open, with course delivery scheduled for late March 2026.

Aquatic & Recreation Facility Managers Course

The Aquatic & Recreation Facility Managers Course (ARFMC) is a five-day, industry-led program offering practical modules, hands-on activities, and networking opportunities designed to develop future leaders in aquatic and recreation management. The course is limited to 25 participants and will be held in March.

Waterwise Audit Drives Efficiency at Narrogin Leisure Centre

The Shire of Narrogin’s Regional Leisure Centre has taken a proactive step toward greater sustainability by participating in a Waterwise Aquatic Centre Audit, delivered through the partnership between LIWA Aquatics and the Water Corporation.

2025–26 ARC Fees and Charges Project Now Open

The second year of the Aquatic and Recreation Centre (ARC) Fees and Charges Project is now open! Following the success of last year’s project, which saw 65 centres participate, LIWA Aquatics & RLSWA are once again inviting Leisure Centres, Sports Stadiums, Aquatic Centres, and Aquatic & Recreation Centres across Western Australia to take part in the 2025–26 ARC Fees and Charges Project.

Southwest Seminar Strengthens WA’s Aquatic Workforce

LIWA Aquatics’ annual Southwest Aquatic Recreation Seminar was held on 15 October in Margaret River, proudly hosted by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River. The event was officially opened by Shire CEO Andrea Selvey, whose warm welcome set the tone for a day focused on collaboration, professional growth, and community support across Western Australia’s aquatic and recreation network.

Celebrating Watch Around Water Facilities of the Year

At the 2025 WA Aquatic Recreation Industry Awards, LIWA Aquatics was proud to recognise two outstanding facilities that have gone above and beyond in promoting child safety through the Watch Around Water program. This award acknowledges facilities that demonstrate leadership in reinforcing active supervision, embedding water safety messaging, and engaging their communities to create safer aquatic environments for young children.
