Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre Reopens

The City of Stirling opened the largest public outdoor lap pool in the Southern Hemisphere on 2 September at Stirling Leisure - Inglewood. The new facility, featuring a lap pool heated to 27.5 degrees Celsius and holding 2.5 million litres of water, includes ten 50-metre lanes and four 25-metre lanes. The pool area has been upgraded with a new concourse, landscaping, and LED lighting.

The Leisure Institute of WA Aquatics (LIWA Aquatics), in partnership with Royal Life Saving, recently held the North West Aquatic Recreation Seminar on May 10th, 2024, at the Wanangkura Stadium in South Hedland. The event, supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Town of Port Hedland, Trade Exhibitors Fluidra, Sigma Chemicals, and Niche Diving Services, brought together 40 industry professionals from across the North West region of WA.
